Thanks cosy. Had new teacher orientation today. Lots of new teachers but I met a lot of people today which was nice. I'll meet even more tomorrow at my teacher institute day. So from here on out, I won't be on here near as much since I'll be at work from 7:30 till 3:45. But hey, I'll be getting a paycheck!

I forgot to put approximately next to them. I know there will be some days that I will be there much later than 3:45. Generally I try to get stuff done soon so that I don't have to stay after school late. Plus I work better at home on grading and stuff because I don't have people to distract me.

Finished and delivered the wedding invitations I was commissioned to do yesterday

Pretty damn happy with the results, and the friends I was doing them for love them and were surprised I finished up so fast. So yay

Well I finished teacher institute today. Now I have to return to school by 6 for Open House, which apparently very few people come too. So it will be another hour and a half for me to work on lesson plans and such. Got a lot of stuff accomplished today which is excellent. More to be accomplished later. Also met my mentor for the year, he is pretty awesome plus he teaches the same classes as me. Thus we need to work together closely anyways. So far we have. I'm definitely looking forward to the year.

...ok, I did leave the house to go and run a few errands--and take the subaru out since its been sitting for a few weeks now (we drive the toyota in the summer since it gets better gas mileage)....and noticing that its acorn season again--our driveway is already covered with them---

making pizza for dinner--artichoke on a multi-grain crust...YUM!

Well I'm exhausted... Long day. Got a lot done, but a really long day. First day with students tomorrow. I'm excited and nervous. Luckily it is only a half day with them so it's not like I have the whole time to fill. Then I have meetings in the afternoon again. I love meetings. >.>

So apparently President Obama was possibly going to come to my town to eat dinner. People were lined up outside the place for like 2-3 hours. But he didn't. Made getting to my apartment a pain since I had to watch for people randomly crossing the road.

I can understand that....when I was at the world expo in Nagoya, the prince and group..went to the same area I was going to...geesh, besides the extra security, the crowds were horrible!! (I skipped the area and did it another day--I had extra tickets so np there).

english lesson: he teaches the sames classes as me (teach)...or he teaches the sames classes as I (teach)...doesnt matter where it is in the sentence, if you can put a verb with the pronoun use the subject form. (when in doubt use a substitute word....like John is going to the park with me/us...sounds right. He uses the right words like us/...no like we do.)....

I'm back now. oO Glad it didn't bother you, it wasn't meant too.

All went pretty well today. I will know tomorrow since today was a half day. The kids were gone by 11:30. Only had them for like 20 minutes or so. Tomorrow is the first full day so that will have a lot more going on. I guess the kids like me from what another teacher was telling me. But I would rather have them pay attention and follow the rules then like me. Though a happy medium of both would be excellent.

Thanks RR. First full day done. The freshman are still scared and do everything I tell them. It is awesome. I hope that they continue to do that. Cause it would be fantastic. Sophomores think they can talk though. They better start learning fast that they can't or bad things will happen to them.

(not today--had eye doc appointment--my eyes are still mad because of the tests and the dilating---can barely read a few things on the computer before I have to sit in a dark room----but my eyes are fine, just getting a bit older and not as 'elastic' as they once were...sigh, getting old isnt fun
